L’université de Yale a mis en ligne tout un cours en anglais sur la psychologie des émotions par June Gruber.
Quelles sont nos émotions? A quoi servent-elles? Comment les émotions se rapportent-elles à nos pensées, à nos souvenirs et à nos comportements envers les autres? Que se passe-t-il lorsque nos réactions émotionnelles vont mal ?
Bien que ces questions remontent aux premiers textes philosophiques, il n’y a que récemment que les psychologues expérimentaux ont commencé à explorer ce domaine d’étude vaste et passionnant.
- Le cours débutera par la discussion des origines évolutives des émotions distinctes telles que l’amour, la colère, la peur et le dégoût.
- Nous demanderons comment les émotions peuvent colorer nos processus cognitifs tels que la pensée et la mémoire, la relation entre les émotions et le cerveau, le développement des émotions dans l’enfance, et comment les émotions façonnent nos relations sociales.
- Nous examinerons également comment ces méthodes peuvent être appliquées à l’étude de la maladie mentale chez les enfants et les adultes.
- Le cours se terminera par l’étude de la poursuite du bonheur et du bien-être, en essayant de comprendre ce qui nous rend heureux.
